History Trip – Tower of London

September 2024

Dear Parent/Carer

History Trip – Tower of London

I am writing to you to share news about an exciting opportunity for your child to visit the Tower of London, one of the Historic Royal Palaces on Wednesday 23rd October, as a way to help strengthen their study of GCSE History. We have received support towards the travel costs for this trip and we hope that will help make it more affordable for students to attend.

The trip will cost £23.00 and includes the following: supported travel costs to the Tower of London via coach, entry to the museum and a special GCSE History session on Early Elizabethan England and its connections to the Tower of London.

We will be travelling to London by coach, departing Biddenham at 8.00am and returning at approximately 4.00pm (traffic permitting).

Students will need to bring a packed lunch and water. As the trip will be in October we also recommend that students dress appropriately for the weather as the visit will include periods in the open air and walking on stairs which will be outside.

If you would like to know more about the Tower of London please visit the website at: https://www.hrp.org.uk/tower-of-london

There are only 35 places available on the trip, so it will be on a first-come-first-served basis, please do not wait to book as your child may be disappointed. To confirm your child’s place, please log on to your ParentPay account.

Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns regarding the trip.

Yours sincerely,

Ree Ann Vaughan
