Visit to Hare Krishna Temple
I am writing to invite your child to join us on a visit to the Hare Krishna Temple, Watford, on Thursday 17th October 2024.
Year 8 students are currently studying Hinduism and the purpose of this visit is to learn more about Hindu worship in practice. Students will have a traditional meal for lunch which typically consists of:
- Pea curry
- Basmati rice
- Chips
- A light Indian savoury
- Puris and chapattis (traditional breads)
- A dessert (usually homemade biscuits)
- A fruit drink
We will be travelling to Watford by coach, departing Biddenham School at 8.30am and returning by 3.30pm (traffic permitting). The visit will include a presentation and workshops, tours, cart rides, face painting, visiting the shrine and lunch. There is a gift shop for students to purchase souvenirs from should they wish. They will need additional spending money for this.
