Dear Parent/Carer 

Knitting and Stitching Show 

The textiles department is keen for all students to reach their full potential. We have organised a trip  to the Knitting and Stitching Show at Alexandra Palace, London on Friday 11th October. This is a  great opportunity available to GCSE students.

Students will be able to watch textile artists at work, visit the Textiles Galleries, the graduate  showcase and attend project demonstrations by textile artists. GCSE students will be required to  produce a written and visual report of the day which will form part of their coursework.  

We will be travelling to London by coach. Students must ensure they arrive at school on time for an  8.00am departure. We will return to Biddenham by 5.00pm (traffic permitting). 

Students will need to bring a notebook/sketchbook, drawing materials, a packed lunch and water  bottle. Students in receipt of free school meals will be able to collect a packed lunch from the  canteen prior to departure. Please confirm lunch requirements by Monday 7th October.  

To confirm your child’s place  on this trip, please provide parental consent via your ParentPay account.
