L2 GCSE Media Studies

What will I learn?

The GCSE course is designed to focus on the basics of Media Studies.

Whilst exploring ideas behind audience, institution and representation, students will also look at the basics of textual analysis (sound, cinematography, editing and mis-en-scene).

How will I be assessed?

The examination board for this course is AQA and assessment is through two examinations and a creative production task.

What are the entry requirements?

The usual Level 2 Course entry requirements.

What are the costs?

There are no compulsory additional costs. However, there is the opportunity to purchase the textbook and the use of specialised equipment within the department.
