Level & Salary:
NJC Level 4A** (point range 11 to 15) – £24,054 to £25,878 per annum, pro-rata
Actual gross salary £18,557 to £19,964 per annum

Biddenham is an 11-19, oversubscribed school that, as we expand, is entering the next phase of its development. Due to our popularity, and as part of our £4.5 million building programme, we are growing and strengthening our already high performing staff team who, by 2025, will be working with 1600 students.

To start in September at the beginning of the new academic year, we seek to appoint an Assistant Manager/ Chef to organise and supervise the catering facilities at the school in accordance with the standards required by the governing body. Reporting to the Catering & Hospitality Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation, cooking and service of food and for standards of hygiene and cleanliness.

Successful candidates will need to have:

+ Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering
+ Level 2 NVQ in Catering and Hospitality
+ Food Hygiene Certificate
+ Experience of supervising staff
+ Experience of working in a busy commercial kitchen environment
