NJC Level 2A (point range 3-4)
Actual Gross Salary £16,232 to £16,556 per annum

Biddenham International School & Sports College is a thriving, multi-cultural, 11-19 school of 1300 students which is rated ‘Good’ in all areas by Ofsted in March 2019. The school has a student centred focus and chromebooks are used by all students to support daily learning.

We are looking to appoint a self-motivated and confident Bilingual Teaching Assistant to work alongside the EAL Co-ordinator.

Our dedicated and vibrant EAL Department supports students who are developing their English skills. The role is to support the learning of targeted individuals and groups of students to enable them to access the whole school curriculum as their individual needs allow.

An understanding of language acquisition processes, experience of ESOL/EFL and the ability to communicate fully in English and another of the languages spoken by our students (eg: Arabic, Bulgarian, Italian, Romanian, Turkish) is essential.

Our school day runs from 7.50am to 2.45pm. The hours for the post will reflect the needs of the timetable and be set between 7.45am and 3.45pm
