To start September 2020 or sooner if possible, we are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, enthusiastic and engaging Teacher of Science who can offer Biology, Chemistry or Physics.
We offer a creative Key Stage 3 Science curriculum, as part of our unique project based learning connected curriculum. We deliver both combined and separate science GCSEs across years 9, 10 and 11, with results improving yearly. We have good numbers moving from Year 11 into Post 16 Sciences, where we deliver a high quality programme of Biology, Chemistry and Physics A-levels.
All departments work collaboratively to provide high standards of learning and teaching for every student. The school has a student centred focus and chromebooks are used by all staff and students to support daily learning.
The school offers a wide range of provisional development opportunities and continued support for career progression, including NQTs beginning their teaching careers.
The successful candidate will be:
Teachers of other subjects will be considered, alongside a commitment to retrain into a Science specialism. Visits to the school are most welcome.
