Top Tips for Parents and Students

At Biddenham we understand that it can be daunting for parents to move from having one teacher to contact in Primary school, to a range of teachers in Secondary school.   The following booklet has been put together to support you and your child during this transition phase.

Secondary School Info Booklet for Parents – June 2018

Who do we contact in school?

Please see the information below to support you in finding the right person to contact.  During the transition process from Primary to Secondary school the main contact will be;

Miss Copley (Associate Assistant Headteacher in charge of transition)

Mrs Stephenson (Head of Year 7&8)

Once your child has started Biddenham, your main point of contact will be your child’s form tutor.

If your child is unwell please contact the attendance office email: or call the school on 01234 342521 where you can select the option to leave a message on the attendance phone.

If you have a subject specific question please visit the curriculum section of the website to gain access to the relevant Head of Department, alternatively write a note in your child’s planner to show the class teacher.

If your child is new to the UK and English is not their first language, please contact or speak to their tutor about this.
