Year 8 – Virtual Parents’ Evening – Tuesday 30th November 2021 4.00 – 8.00pm

I am writing to inform you that we have our Parents’ Evening on Tuesday 30th November 2021. Subject teachers will spend the afternoon/evening conducting online interviews with students and their parents/carers.

The primary purpose of this Parents’ Evening will be to help subject teachers develop a closer working relationship with parents/carers and strengthen the partnership between home and school. Teachers will work with parents and students to identify what needs to happen to make good progress during this academic year.

This will involve looking at the current report, which you will receive before the day, and negotiating a set of targets which will enable your child to build on his/her achievements so far. Encouragement and support in achieving targets will continue to be given on a regular basis.

We will continue to use an online booking system for making appointments. Add this link to your browser https://biddenham.parentseveningsystem.co.uk and you will be taken directly to the login page. Then enter your details and your child’s details as required on the login screen. You will need to use the first name and surname in full as it is recorded on our school system and your child’s date of birth. Bookings will open on 19th November at 9.30am and close on 30th November at 12 noon. The link can also be accessed via email and the school website. The meeting time is 5 minutes in duration. Please make sure you run a test prior to your booked appointment to make sure everything is set up correctly and please expect to get a telephone call should there be any issues with the virtual meeting. Due to the current Covid regulations the appointments will not take place in school. The appointments will take place online through the Parents’ Evening System and are accessible through most mobile and laptop devices. Communication between home and school is even more important in these difficult times. We truly value your cooperation, support and patience as we trial this virtual approach to Parents’ Evening.
