Psychology Intervention letter

November 2022

Dear Parents/Carers,

Re: Psychology Intervention

I am writing to you regarding your child’s progress in Psychology. I have specific concerns surrounding their ability to achieve their expected grade at A level based on their performance in assessments thus far. Therefore I would like them to attend a weekly intervention session with myself to work on exam technique, understanding exam questions and working in a smaller group whereby we can discuss areas of weakness they have.

I would appreciate it if you could please talk to your child about this issue and encourage them to attend a one hour intervention session, every Monday till 15:45 up to the Easter break, or until they feel more confident and secure with their ability in Psychology. This is by no means a punishment or a reflection of how hard your child is working. Psychology is a demanding subject and I feel a little extra support will help them to be better prepared for exams.

I would be grateful if you would complete and return the reply slip below. If you would like to discuss this further, please email me at hannah.wilthew@biddenham.beds.sch.uk

Thank you for your support.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs H Wilthew

Head of Psychology
