Dear Parent/Guardian,
I am pleased to inform you that your child has been invited to attend a STEM activity day at Redborne Upper School, Ampthill, Bedfordshire on Monday 27th March. STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics so the day will be designed around delivering activities linked to these subjects.
This workshop is being delivered as part of the Wadham Project and follows on from after school sessions in local schools and the upcoming visit to the University of Oxford.
A timetable for the day is given below:
8am Meet Mrs Squair in reception
8.10am Taxi departs from Biddenham to Redborne
9.10am Livestream launch by PPMA BEST Deliverer
9.15am – 9.40am Introduction to PPMA BEST and the STEM day
9.40am – 10.50am STEM Challenge; Eco Factory Loader
10.50am – 11.10am Break
11.15am – 12.35pm STEM Challenge – Pitch
12.35pm – 1pm Careers talk by PPMA BEST and Prize giving
1pm – 1.30pm Lunch
1.30pm – 2.30pm Summer Project and introduction to Year 11
2.45pm Depart
3.15pm Approximate time of return to Biddenham
There is no charge for attending the event, but students are expected to bring their own packed lunch unless they normally receive free school meals. Students are asked to wear school uniform.
