Victoria & Albert Museum/The Design Museum, London

We have organised a study visit to London on Wednesday 8th November 2023 for Visual Arts A- Level students. Art students will be visiting the Victoria & Albert Museum, and Graphics and Photography students will visit The Design Museum and the Victoria & Albert Museum in the afternoon.

We shall be travelling to London by train and underground. On the day of the visit we will meet at Bedford train station at 8.45am to catch the first off peak train. Students are required to bring drawing materials/cameras/gallery books as well as a packed lunch. Comfortable shoes are strongly recommended as there will be quite a lot of walking and standing in the galleries.

This activity is an extension to the work students will be doing in school. We will begin the visit focused on practical activities together but students will then be able to choose parts of the gallery that would be particularly relevant to their studies in groups of no less than two. We ask that students remain in the museums for the duration of our visit until our arranged meeting time to return home.

We will return to Bedford at approximately 5.30pm and students will make their own way home from the station.

The cost for this trip including rail and underground transport will be £25.00.
