Dear Parent/Carer,

Your child has been invited to attend the KS3 Climate Change Summit on 10th January 2024. This will take place at the University of Bedfordshire’s Bedford campus.

This is a chance for students to enhance their understanding of the science and implications of climate change through exhibitions, workshops and Q + A sessions. In addition, the summit will highlight to students the challenges we face when dealing with climate change as well as possible solutions and future technologies.

Students should arrive at school at the normal time and in full school uniform. We will depart at 08.30 and will be traveling to the University of Bedfordshire by school minibus. We aim to return to school by 15.30 (traffic permitting)

Please provide a packed lunch and bottle of water for the day. Students in receipt of free school meals can collect lunch before departing from the school canteen.

This is an excellent opportunity for year 7 students to engage in thought provoking discussions and broaden their topic knowledge and we hope your child will be able to attend. There is no cost for this trip. Please provide parental consent via your ParentPay account.

Please do not hesitate to contact me should you have any questions.
