Blue Peris – Snowdonia trip
We are offering year 10 students the opportunity to attend a week’s outdoor and adventurous course from 15th – 20th September 2024 at the local authority’s Mountain Centre at Blue Peris in Snowdonia, North Wales. During the week students are given the chance to experience challenging activities such as canoeing, raft building, hill walking, rock climbing, orienteering and sea cliff traversing. The Centre is staffed by experienced instructors, and three members of staff from Biddenham School will also accompany the group.
The benefits of the residential experience and the mountain activities are tremendous and should, if possible, not be missed.
We can offer the facility of a payment schedule, spreading the cost over the months between now and the trip. The authority greatly subsidises the course so that the all-in cost to each student is £425. This includes transport to and from Wales and the use of specialist equipment such as boots, wetsuits and safety harnesses. This means no further expense is required, apart from pocket money.
Places are limited to 20 and therefore the trip will be available on a first come first serve basis. If the trip is full when consent and deposits are paid, your child will be placed on the waiting list for the trip.
To secure a place, parental consent and a deposit of £100 is required by Thursday 28th March 2024. The trip will go live on ParentPay on Wednesday 13th March at 9.00am. Please find the payment schedule below:

The above payment schedule may be amended if personal circumstances require you to pay differently. Please contact our finance team on 01234 334503 should you wish to discuss.
The final payment date for the full cost will be Monday 2nd September 2024. You can of course pay for the whole amount up front if you wish. Please be aware if you pay your deposit and then decide to withdraw, this will only be returned if a replacement student can be found.
