Milton Keynes University – Raising Aspiration Day

The Biddenham Sixth Form team is excited to announce a fantastic opportunity for year 12 students to gain valuable insights in to the world of work. We invite them to participate in the Milton Keynes University Raising Aspiration Day on Wednesday 1st May 2024.

Imagine your child confidently navigating a job interview, showcasing their strengths to potential employers and building a compelling CV that gets them noticed. This event is designed to equip students with just those skills.

Throughout the day, students will participate in interactive workshops led by professionals. They will learn essential interview skills; from crafting impactful responses, handling nerves and gaining confidence in the interview room. They will also be immersed in a simulated selection process through mock selection day activities and will receive valuable experience and feedback.

The power of personal branding will be explored, helping students discover how to effectively showcase their strengths and unique qualities to potential employers. Additionally they will learn CV building techniques to help them create a polished and impactful CV that stands out from the crowd.

We will handle transport and logistics – students will travel comfortably by minibus to and from the university. We will depart Biddenham at 9.30am and return by 5.00pm (traffic permitting). Students should bring a packed lunch and water bottle.
