Dear Parent/Carer
During the summer term, Year 8 students will be exploring the themes in Noughts & Crosses in Oracy. This encompasses a range of topics from race to civil disobedience. During the course, key quotes from the novel will be selected to spark debate. However, students will not be reading large extracts from the novel.
It is important to note that the book has an age rating of “13” as some of the themes are for slightly more mature readers. We are writing to inform you of this, in case your child has not yet turned 13 and expresses an interest in reading the book.
