Fiddle Fiesta 2024
Your child has been invited to attend the annual Fiddle Fiesta to be held at Mark Rutherford Upper School on Wednesday 17th July.
The Fiddle Fiesta is a great way to bring young string players of all ranges and abilities together, giving them the chance to participate in a large scale ensemble rehearsal and performance.
Students will travel to Mark Rutherford Upper school by school minibus, departing Biddenham at 12.00. Students will need to bring a packed tea and drink with them and are to be in full school uniform. Bedford Music Co-operative teachers will take responsibility for students for the duration of the event. Your child will need to be collected from Mark Rutherford at 19.30.
Below is the itinerary:
13.00 – Arrive at Mark Rutherford Upper School and begin rehearsal
16.00 – Break for tea
17.00 – Dress rehearsal
18.30 – Concert
19.30 – Students to be collected by parent/carer
Family and friends are invited to attend the free concert, beginning at 18.30 and ending at 19.30. Your child will need their instrument, music, and a labelled music stand. Cellists will need a spike rest and double bass players, a stool.
To confirm your child’s place on this trip, please provide parental consent via your ParentPay account. We do hope your child is able to attend. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
