Trip to Stanwick Lakes – Thursday 29th June 2023
The Geography department would like to thank you for your support for the above trip. This trip is a fantastic opportunity to bring learning alive and hopefully improve your child’s chances of gaining their predicted grade.
To allow this to happen we require a contribution of £12.50 to cover the costs of transportation, insurance and all relevant administration costs. This visit will be an informative and hopefully enjoyable day; especially if we get the weather! The trip will be taking place on Thursday 29th June 2023.
The structure of the day is outlined in the itinerary table below:
8am Meet in the quad for a prompt departure. Failure to arrive on time could result in your child not attending the trip.
9am Arrive at Stanwick- students to be split into groups, each will be assigned to a member of staff where they will complete a range of fieldwork activities.
11am -12noon Students will have free time to enjoy the facilities.
12noon -13:00pm Lunch students will have lunch all together at the agreed meeting point.
13:00pm -14:00pm Team building activities in allocated groups
14:00pm Depart Stanwick – Arrive back at Biddenham School estimated at around 3pm traffic permitting
Students are required to bring a pack lunch and snacks for the day. They can bring spending money if they want (although this is not a requirement). There are facilities available for students to buy snacks and ice cream. They will need comfortable and practical footwear, a waterproof jacket and sun cream (should the weather be hot!). They will also need their pencil case, a camera (optional), water and a small rucksack to carry all they need.
IMPORTANT: Please complete the Parental Consent form including payment on Parent Pay
and return it to the Geography Department no later than Friday 16th June 2023.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
