First Give letter April 2024

Dear Parent/Carer
I am writing to invite you to an exciting and inspirational event happening at our school that involves your child.
During their Project Based Learning lessons, your child has recently been taking part in the First Give Programme. The students have been thinking about social issues in our area and learning about charities that work to address them. After choosing a charity, the year 7 students have then supported their chosen charities through direct social action, and have put together inspirational presentations in which they champion the chosen charity, the work they do and the social action the class has done.
There will be one presentation per class presenting at the School Final, one of which will win a £1,000 First Give grant for their chosen charity. The School Final will also be an opportunity for the students, school and wider community to celebrate all the hard work that the students have done over the last few weeks. It will be a very special occasion and we would be so pleased if you could come to share the experience.

Time: 2.55pm
Venue: Biddenham School, Main Hall (go towards reception)
