Computer Science Assessments

Students are assessed as follows:

Key Stage 3

Rotation 1:  Summative Assessment multiple choice quiz
Rotation 2:  Summative Assessment multiple choice quiz
Rotation 3:  Summative Assessment multiple choice quiz

Key Stage 4

Paper 1:  Computer Systems (exam – 50%)
Paper 2:  Computational thinking, algorithms and programming (exam – 50%)
Programming Project to support Unit 2: Students must design, plan and implement a programming project in lesson time (0%)

Key Stage 5

Paper 1:  On-screen exam – 1 hour 45 minutes, 50% of AS
Paper 2:  Written exam – 1 hour 30 minutes, 50% of AS
NEA:  75 marks, 20% of A level
