Students are assessed as follows:

Key Stage 4

Unit R032:  Principles of Care in Health, Social Care and Early Years settings (external examination – 1 hour)
Unit R033:  Supporting Individuals Through Life Events (internal coursework)
Unit R034:  Creative and Therapeutic Activities (internal coursework)

Key Stage 5

Year 12 – Certificate equivalent to an AS
Unit 1:  Building positive relationships in H&SC (60 GLH, coursework unit)
Unit 2:  Equality, Diversity and Rights in H&SC (60 GLH, externally examined paper)
Unit 3:  Health, Safety and Security in H&SC (60 GLH, externally examined paper)

Year 13 – Extended Certificate equivalent to an A level
Unit 4:  Anatomy and Physiology (90 GLH, externally examined paper)
Unit 22:  Psychology for H&SC (60 GLH, coursework)
Unit 24:  Public Health (30 GLH, coursework)
