Students are assessed as follows:

PE Core

Key Stage 3
Students are assessed using the topic headings:
Physical Me
Personal Me
Thinking Me
Within each topic area they are then assessed using Emerging, Developing Secure and Mastered.
These areas then overarch sports and skills are transferable. There is a linea approach from year 7 through to year 9.
Key Stage 4
Students are assessed using the topic headings:
Physical Me
Personal Me

Starting delivery 2023:
Unit 1:  R184 – Contemporary Issues in Sport (40%, 1 hour 15 mins exam. This exam can be sat in January of Year 11 with a resit in June if needed, however it is the last paper mark that counts not the best grade.)
Unit 2:  R185 – Performance and Leadership in Sport Activities (40%, Centre Assessed)
Unit 3:  R186 – Sport and the Media (20%, Centre Assessed)

Unit 1:  Anatomy and Physiology (33%)
(unseen exam – January Year 13 with resit option of June year 13)
