Key Stage 3 Work

Movement Analysis of Within her Eyes and style research
Students analysis of the work is in detail and is accurate with her observations. The student produced a well presented piece of work on the contemporary dance style which was highly detailed.

Costume analysis of A linha Curva and own costume design to reflect chosen culture
The student has thought about the contribution the costumes make to the dance piece.

The students design is creative and choices have been justified by relating back to the costume intention.

Poster to advertise a professional work – Emancipation of Expressionism
Lovely use of the blue colour to reflect the dance work as well as great use of images. The student shows understanding of the key facts and features of the work and has selected an appropriate setting for the performance – Sadlers Wells would be a perfect place to see this dance work.

A level choreography piece
This was an A level choreography piece which was adapted to be performed at the University of Bedfordshire’s One Step Youth Dance festival. The students worked on this in their own time, culminating in a fantastic performance showing creative, intricate and engaging choreography.
